Site mainly restored and available again

Hey all

For those who weren't aware off our recent downtime, we had a fairly big problem with our host. They managed to get our main harddisk formatted instead of another harddisk within that server... They also deleted the backups of 10 site owners, included our site. So there was no way to get our site back as it was unfortunately.

I have lost a lot of work I've done for the site, mainly improvements to core modules to improve performance and to make it cross-browser friendly. I could recode certain things already, mainly the most important and sometimes necessary parts for the site, so it works again.

What have I done since the site was down? Well, first I was fairly shocked of course but luckily I had some backups of the database and also the files. The database is missing one month now but during the August, we haven't had much of posts so it's not that bad. The rest of our database could be restored and is available again. Well, here's a list of what I've done so far:

    - Recoded XHalo theme so it works with this CMS (still needs a lot of work but should be k for now)
    - Restored database (still a few issues but mainly fine)
    - Installed certain (not all yet) mods we used on the site
    - Some parts I've removed or better said I haven't added them back but had to clean database etc to get it properly removed
    - Recoded certain blocks, modules and other stuff we used before so it can work like it used to be
    - Other stuff I cannot remember right now Razz

As mentioned in the previous news article about U2XMP, the German Forum Community has released a portation of their map pack for UTXMP including a few new maps. Head on over to our download section to get this pretty impressive map pack:

Note that they have released a fix for the package. They mainly fixed map bugs. I have merged the packages into one so you don't have to download 2 files Smile

Hope to have some games soon on our new UTXMP with these maps.

Have fun  Cool

Hey there

I've added some new and probably last U2XMP downloads into our download section because that's pretty everything available for it which was somewhat popular or very popular.

These are the following:

I especially recommend the Master Server UI since the official master server is down usually. This will make sure that you get a new and fresh list of servers available for U2XMP.

Also the German Forum Pack contains a few really nice maps which you should check out. This map pack is also available for UTXMP, the total conversion for UT2004.

Enjoy Smile

Download Section available again

Hey all

Finally I could upload and rearrange all the downloads we had. I hope I haven't done any errors but you never know Wink If so, please let me know ASAP, thanks.

I have slightly changed a few things regarding categories. I have completely removed all Nuke related categories and I have made 2 new categories for UTXMP regarding maps.

I have also removed INIQUITOUS' and Hazel's maps because I do not see any relation to those anymore giving me a bit of space and bandwidth back even though it wasn't much.

Furthermore I have updated a few things such as the Tools category so if you use one of those tools, take a look there and download what you need.

I have also added a few new map packs for U2XMP, UTXMP and UT2004 which you can see on the main page in the downloads block on the right side or when you browse our download section of course. You should find the new stuff pretty quickly since their marked with a red square.

Happy downloading Smile

Server is currently offline

Since the 3rd release of FMI's total conversion UTXMP, we have decided to set up one public server. We know that it most likely won't get used that much but since it's a game some of our members enjoy, we would like to show some support and hopefully also have some game every now and then Smile

Our Unreal Tournament 2004 Expanded Multiplayer server has all the standard available so far.

It is important for us to provide a place which is based on fun with a competitive touch  Smile This means we are interested to keep the server free of cheaters, spammers (voice or text) and other people who are disturbing the fun of others. That's why we installed a few mutators to keep track of what is going on on our server. There is [UTAN], a global and also server specific banning system whic...
