no i dont think it is possible because when the mesh is made all the textures are aligned (how ever bad) and they are locked in those positions. so you woul dhave to use the bsp one and retexture it but you might have problems with it. if you have probs, let me know what texture you want on it and ill see if i can do it for you i got this for you, i think it would go really really nice, maybe even coming out of the tower things look at it in the editor with the preview on (the little joytstick) and wait about 10 seconds hehe

hey FMC, i got you this really good fog emitter,, it wont do anything to reduce framerates, because its not zone fog, its just an emitter. but it would really help with the long range sniper issues i think, any ow give it a try and see what you think.
in the emitter properties , change the colour to your liking, (i was playing with it hehe) and change the number of particles to anywhere between 3 and 10. and see what happens (emitter properties>emitter>General>Max particles)

I sit and try to add some trims to the web for hours Ini, is it a problem to disable the rotation grid? The web has some odd angles and the trim meshes won't fit properly with rotation grid enabled  |

it shouldnt be a problem to disable it, (its the pizza shaped icon at the bottom the screen), after its disabled you wil be able to line them up better, but i advise you to turn it back on after you have finished with the trims. its not a problem leaving it off when your moving meshes around etc.. but you shouldnt have it off when your playing with bsp  |

Please be patient, the changes needs time I wasted this morning with finding and adding some trims for the web - without good looking results The volcano and Ini's emitters aren't in the map too. |

That's why my map still isn't finished I need more time to look for meshes and other objects I'd like to use rather than building the map  |

After weeks the map is almost finished except some little things.
First I still need the level music. Miszt, if you have some matching in your collection and want in to have in this map, please let me know. If not, no problem, I'll add a standard music then.
Second, I need a good level description (the text that appears in the level preview). Scorpio, I like your dark minded msn names and status messages. Maybe you have an idea for some kind of weird description

Sorry Ini, I didn't put this emitter into Tarantula, although it's looking great. But I cannot find a place where it looks good in this map. Don't worry, I started making a DM map some weeks ago, and your emitter is in it yet and looks cool. Your time wasn't wasted  |

A long time after beta version 4 the is now available
Let me say some things before I post the changes. It took a long time to finish this version, I started with this map last May Please understand me when I have no mind to change anything of the maps geometry or appearance anymore. Of course I'll remove bugs - and I'm sure you'll find some - but I hope this is the last beta version. The only thing I still miss for the final version is the level music.
Now to the changes:
Fixed bugs:
Changed path network, bots come now out of the spawning chambers.
Edited the teleporter tunnel properties, I crossed the tunnels almost 50 times and didn't get stucked anymore, I hope you don't too
Every tunnel has two exits now to avoid spawn killing.
Level preview updated.
Performance improvements:
Removed the rotating spiked ball in the center.
Changed all jumppad emitters, they're spawning less particles now.
Removed pain causing torches.
Removed almost all lights with coronas - they were a big fps killer.
Deleted one lower terrain layer.
Added antiportals.
Appearance and Eye Candy:
Replaced the Skybox.
The bases have no flat floors anymore, there's terrain now.
The web has tons of trim meshes (about 200).
A small blood pool was added to the web's center.
Removed the distance fog and changed the lightning.
Added new custom rock meshes and nice fog emitters - thx to Ini who made them
And finally for Leo, Skorbut and all ppl who appreciate it - you can go through the whole in the ceiling to a small camping area for INV games. |

Cool, thanks a lot FMC. Finally we got a new beta release of this map and so far I only can say that the map became better and better with each release and I also hope that you can finish this map now
I will upload the map this evening. |
