just leave the server as it is now. its not too hard and not too easy. its making people use necro more than boostere which is a good thing as it and LXY are the only servers with necro and thats why most people go there... and btw this topic is about spicing up the invasion server....not spicing up Scorp rofl Laughing

FPS seems fine to me most of the time, and my PC is fairly standard Smile the only time I notice it is on the hell wave when there's so many skaarj projectiles flying around, and sometimes the necro combo effects slow it down a bit. Some maps have bad framerates (hyperblast goes to around 9fps in the corridors Confused ) but there's not much you can do about that Wink

What I mean by "Illegal" is that you might be breaching the software contract you sign up for when you install the software, by charging for a certain service type. Anyway legal blah blah I'm sure there would be a way around it Razz

What I mean is that realistically people won't pay a monthly subscription to play inv no matter how small it is.

about the nice ppl i mean that if teh server would be harder...we would still have nice ppl only who are better...

I dont want the old invasion server we had at all cause maybe you remember i always said it was to easy....

Well maybe miszt will get his new 20 bugs spawn instently when you camp mutator ready soon that will be fun, specialy when the shock combo thingy is less...it not that i have to use it...its that others use it and hit me with it cause there using it over and over and over again...hitting players and bugs could we not get somthing for that? So ppl use hp when they hit others? ahh wait no that would take skill ppl wont understand...i hate ppl

Is it possible to make the server react on players?

Maybe in the numbers of enemy (nah it would kill most players' comps Confused ) or the enemy should get faster/better/smarter as the player is evolving, his/her PPH starts to hit big numbers etc.
I'm talking about balance between human/AI.
I think there was an option in UT to make bots/AI adapt as much as the player does - like the final Tournament boss does on Hyperblast.
I even go further; the monsters attacking noobs should use less skilled levels and the skilled players should get the higher enemy skill level - only problem with this would be if skilled players would kill the monsters attacking a noob, set on Novice or something... cm Razz

This will make irt intresting! Also make it so that they spawn more around ppl that are better so0 i wont fall asleep!

I don't think you can make them like that really. Probably you would need to rewrite certain parts of the AI which is one of the most difficult things to do in regards to the engine.

Also, the server already has something like that. The monsters will change behaviour upon the skill level of the players. But as implied, it depends on all the players. If only one is good, you won't really see it but you should see it if you play only with bad players and then compair it with a game where only good players play. They adapt player skills a bit already.

Played some INV on our server yesterday after a couple of weeks and like the new settings, I had no lag, even in the hell wave Smile
But there was something again I absolutely not like and what can't be turned off unfortunately: exploiting map bugs Sad
Ini, Skorbut and some other people: It's annoying. I've nothing against hiding in secret spots, but please don't run into skyboxes, don't run on blocking volumes, don't hide under terrain. You probably don't want someone playing this way in DM or CTF games, so please stop it in INV. Have the balls to face the monsters Twisted Evil

Inv is different from DM or whatever and if you want a go at the next wave then sorry if its usually a bug exploit that saves u lol. and besides every1 in the exploit was all on my teamspeak and we was having a laugh! also it helps you to learn loads about mapping. and we was admiring the skybox in that map...i could see my old house you know. Very Happy

edit: if your not in an exploit then ur a shock combo whore lol and that is even more annoying *cough fmc * i saw you shock comboing mwahaha Laughing also there are not alot of people who actually run around like me and a few others. eveyr1 else mainly camps in one spot. again i need to *cough* and usually with the shock combo .......

That just happens to be one of the biggest bugs in all the maps lol
I think it's ok to leave your translocator somewhere safe, even if it is a glitch but It's not good to camp there the whole game. Wink Yesterday we were messing around on TS seeing how far across the map the bug goes (and looking for ini's old house), and yes, it was fun Razz Anyway I don't see any point in arguing, sometimes rules are made to be broken...
