I think the levels and difficulty is set right. The reason it becomes boring is levels like osiris where everyone ends up camping on the roof. I admit I do it as well but if everyones on the roof and your down below it's a bit hard to survive for too long.
Also Lom, can you have a look into the stats problem (when you get time) Thx |

i use the shieldgun all the time. to shield myself from attacks lol it can bounce back skaarj attacks too, very cool.
yeah eveyrone uses sacrifice now, even on normal waves they jsut do it because they cant wait until wave 25 anylonger lmao,. like skorby , he does it on almost everywave lol hehe
that bug with big jim spawning underneath. it happens with every homemade monster that has been resized too much. he doesnt spawn under neath. he actually spawns ontop but gets "forced" or "pushed" under, mayb because of hi collision. u know how me and leo trans under terrain? its because the trans gets stuck halfway under and hlfway on top and so you get pushed "under" the terrain. as you wil notice anymap without terrain big jim will not go under. almost everymap with terrain he wil. my theory is, if its possible for nig jim to get under the map then so can players. and if its possible for players to get under the map. then so can and will big jim . and that theory has worked everyrtime so far! lol |

hmm, well in that case I'm probly better off working on the bugs in the current code, obviously you guys are tired of waiting now, and with good reason lol I'm tired of not being able to do it!
So I'll fix whatz broke, and replace the necro code, which I had started anywayz

Hmm, isn't that an UT bug? I'm not sure but I think I have seen this on other servers as well.
We had some ideas first with the shield gun but we never could finish that part. It should be more useful to kill monsters as well IMO Maybe with some rewards like more adrenaline or dunno  |

Just a few ideas - pick some!
First of all Fraghouse Invasion Mod Team has got alot cool mutators to screw around with: [web:da2f1e3db4]http://fraghouse.beyondunreal.com/ut2004work.php[/web:da2f1e3db4]
If u give Jim 5 shots then he kills u n another player frags him its the most annoyin thing ever can happen ingame (once I had a match like someone fragged Jim in front of me while I was doin Sacrifice n I had not much adren left while shootin the dwarf-riding-pink-kangaroo n I ran outta adren n exploded - both of us ended up dead... another lovely sentimental apex-moment of the matches n fun I had on the INV server )
So big monsters with more than 1 shots should have divided scores; first shot on Jim is the highest, then the score u get for hittin him again n again is lower n lower till u get the last shot, meanwhile the adren u get for every shot is getting even higher n higher n the last Jim-killer shot gets highest adren as a final prize!
The simple for a 5-shot-harder-to-catch-Jim's score/adren-division example:
1. 15s|3a
2. 12s|6a
3. 9s|9a
4. 6s|12a
5. 3s|15a
+_________
= 45s|45a
As Jim is the supervillain, our beloved boss-character, more of him at this 'wont move just shot redeemers while u shot at him' level he's a bit boring... Outnumberin us with lame-Jims? NO WAY! We need few n tricky 'pain in the ass' ones!!
Less waves but each is longer (e. g. 15 waves with every wave is getting 1 min longer than the previous one) n more unique would be great fun!
The VERY maybe-idea:
ONLY U2 Monsters with Madalena n BigJim running around 'd look fine as at first look the texture-levels look similar n if Magdalena n Jim could get the U2 gore as well it 'd look perfect (cuz UT2k4's red gore is simply UGLY n Im bored of shootin huge gasbags with mountain sized gore pieces rainin blood on me with 10x10pixel textures which Jim uses as well... ) |

I also wouldn't mind Magdalena with Deemers n Jim with those green-exploding SuperDeemers wot Two-Legged's Wehtam Warlords got on his server!
Lets make an invasion server for UT2004 not for Unreal 1
And my old dream:
Lom is it possible to make the server automatically switch to special mutators at special events (Like Santa Hats at Xmas-time!!! ) I wouldnt mind to make the server bit more cozy as we have a nice lil community there

| Hey guys, how about giving the nali ability to use sacrifice (or revive) that can only be stopped with a headshot, dunno if thats possible but a sure way to make the nali peak the annoyance scale and should be funny, in my humble opinion. |

One thing you could try and change is how skaarj die, hell wave is hard until you find somewhere to pitch a tent and start shockballing, I do it myself I confess (sometimes not just on hell wave so I guess this applies to all waves). But if you could give skaarj (or monster) types individual death requirements like metal skaarj (and queens shield?) reflect shock beams back at you and have to be shockballed, fire skaarj immune to shockball etc. Just so you can't kill about 40 skaarj (40 anything) with 1 shockball. Could even make green skaarj immune to everything apart from shield gun erm........Sorry if I sound like a backseat driver, just a thought is all  |

I agree something could be done about those combos. The shockball comes in handy sometimes, like when a bunch of nalis with miniguns are chasing you, or for those pesky flies, but some people find a camping spot and shock-combo everywhere for the whole game. This gets REALLY annoying expecially if you're moving around and they shoot in your face, stop you in the middle of a jump and you fall etc. Maybe you could make the shock rifle work a bit like the dispersion pistol from unreal 1 - you have a limited ammount of shockball ammo but it recharges over time. This might stop annoying combo-ers  |

I was thinking actually about this the other day, I find games get really boring when everyonez camping, and to be honest I dunno why people do it, but heres my idea anywayz...
Have an area timer for each player, and if you dont move out of a set space in a set time then you get 20 Skarjj beamed into your area, they wont go for anyone else, and once you are dead they will vanish, no matter where it is... (including peeps who like to hide under maps, not mentionin any namez...lol)
Also, if you can defeat them, you should get 20 more, etc etc |

Nice idea, how about a MOTD saying join up to the forum and give us ideas on what peeps want? will bring more peepz to the forum aswell

How about the shockballs slowly regenerate, so you can only do it three times every minute? Just like the shieldgun. And it only counts as a shockball when you actually shoot the ball (so you do the combo). That would be much better imo.  |
