For all those who have given up on the old XMP (Expanded Multiplayer), there's now some little hope again  Some guys created a mod and a new master server so we can get a current server list again without any extra tools or editing ini files etc. If you are interested in it, head on over to the BeyondUnreal forums and read the following post:
Think it's great that some people put so much effort in a game only to try to keep it alive. I also just installed XMP again of course to test this out and it works fine here so far 
Well, maybe it's time to have some games again?  |

wow this sounds great there were talks bout this for a long time nice to see it has happond finaly  some games hmmmz I dont know... 
yea would be nice man when do we meet up? 
Well look what i have instald when i get home...to bad the utxmp update is not out yet. But as i said before utxmp is very playeble as it is 
happy |

UTXMP isn't that bad anymore, I agree. Still it really needs another major update until I can feel that it might go in the right direction. I missed too much to be honest. I only can explain it that way. The magic of the game is pretty gone. It feels like a reduced XMP to me somehow. Dunno why but I guess it's that leet UT2004 engine again which killed most of the magic.
I was looking on the servers yesterday. There are about 8 servers if I remember correctly. About half in Europe and the rest in the USA which is k IMO. Though, I haven't seen many people playing yesterday. The HoC servers were empty and only one (which I cannot remember anymore) in Europe was pretty full so not sure if we could play some games.
Well, if there are enough people from our clan who like to give it a try, it would be pretty fun I'm sure. If that is the case, I will make something available so everyone can join |

I have only UTXMP installed, not U2XMP. Am I right, a copy of Unreal II is needed for U2XMP? I haven't got it though. |

Yep, you would need it. Again, I can make something available so everyone can play. Since the game isn't officially supported anymore, I don't see any problem in releasing this in our private forums  |
