Heya all
Since a few days, there's a problem with one of our HD's so that I cannot restart the game servers anymore. Since I'm not at home, I cannot do much right now but I will be here again on Thursdays and I hope I can solve the problem.
I've just wrote another mail to the provider so I hope they take a look until then.
If everything works again, I'll prepare the TAM server too which I hope I can finish since that's what I have promised for quite some time now  |

Unfortunately, the servers still are down due to a harddisk crash on the server. I'm not sure right now what got corrupted and what not. Maybe we have to replace the harddisk.
Since I was away the last days enjoying some days off, I wasn't able to get in touch with the provider anymore. I will try to get it solved as soon as possible but I fear it will take a while which I don't hope of course. Probably I have to recreate the servers which wouldn't be that bad anyway. I'll let you know if I hear more from provider.
Until then, I'm sure you will find another server and sorry about the troubles. |

| The server will get a new harddisk and since I don't know what is lost, I still don't know when the UT servers will be back again. Though, at least there is something in the work now. |

| Ok, they should replace it this morning and I probably will be able to access the server this evening again if it works out fine. Then I have to look first what I have to replace which might take some days as well. We have really a lot of stuff there so this takes time to upload the files again etc. Though, I think one of the servers will be back soon at least but we will see. I don't promise anything. |

As I thought, I had almost no time to do anything regarding the servers since my weekend was fully booked  At least, the server itself is working fine by now and I could install and configure some necessary tools for the server. Though, I still don't know if the broken HD is accessible or gone forever so right now, I'm still not sure if I can recover our UT servers and download section from the site. If not, I will have to upload about 10 GB of data which obvioulsy takes a lot of time but should be doable during the nights but still, it won't be done that fast.
I wanted to do it with miszt but so far I couldn't reach him anymore unfortunately. I hope we get this solved this week somewhere when miszt got time as well.
miszt, when you read this, please contact me ASAP, thanks. |

I'm on MSN all day man, and this eve, wana meet? I'll b home from about 6pm GMT, although I will be on MSN untill about 5pm GMT anywayz, and I can do stuff from here, not a hugly busy day, will take a look asap, unfortunly my weekend has been insane aswell!!

Since I couldn't reach miszt yesterday, I'm not really any further with the server so sorry to disappoint you. Though, I will start to upload the files this evening so we have at least something up pretty soon as I cannot wait any longer.
Maps won't be that much at the beginning most likely. Well the stock maps of course and most of the map packs we used to have on our servers will be there. The rest I will have to do later on but I think we also can remove quite a lot of maps so it shouldn't be that bad.
I'll let you know when something is up. Probably I start with the private server but I see how it goes. |

Even though it sounds like a ton of work, starting off with a fresh start isn't too bad sometimes. I'm not a big fan of formatting my own computer, but once I've done it, I'm glad I did. Maybe some good will come out of all of this.
