I know ChaosUT quite well as I used to play it. Yeah, it can be really fun.
Though, I think we first should play it on another server because I don't want to install mods and remove them again. It takes quite long until everything is set up. |

Ok, we are still stuck somehow with this server but well, it's not that important right now I think. Would be nice though to make it somehow more interesting  so keep coming with ideas if you got some.
About CTF4, I don't think it will give the server the popularity I was looking for really. I like the concept quite a bit but it lacks a lot of stuff IMO. The main problem is that there need to be a bunch of people already before it can be fun. Some have mixed feelings about the mod and I think most aren't that happy really with such a mod on the public server.
JB has a similar problem. You also need to have a few people already before you are even able to start.
So, I'm up for new ideas again Maybe ChaosUT would be something or another mod? |

hmmmm well its to bad that we dont have ini in our mitst he does have one crazy invasion mod his own build as i'm sure. We could just do somthing mad on the server nothing to serius just fun simpel but fun ut mario cart or somthing  well you get my drift... |

If someone of you'd like to see a NW MOD I can recommend *. It's a mix of LMS and TDM, but look at the link and read it I afraid playing this MOD with instagib is not that funny though.

| Yeah, I already suggested that gamemode. I like it a lot, but some said that there were too much servers with it already. |

You're right, there are dozens of TAM servers, but only a handful with iTAM, and only 1 or 2 with a playable ping. On of this servers is pretty busy at any time, Leo and me have it in our favorites already. Well, if there aren't any other suggestions I'd like to have iTAM on our 4Gibs server.
The TAM mod isn't that big, and there are only about 10 maps where TAM is fun, so I hope setting it up wouldn't be to much work. I'd like to keep iJB on the server though.
Edit: AFAIK is it a known bug that this post doesn't appear in the glance, am I right? |

Yeah, the glance mod having issues as well. It's due to conversion problems and I couldn't figure it out yet. |

Well, I might give this another chance to live up lol. I was thinking about an iTAM server only. First, I was thinking about iJB and iTAM but my experience shows that this set up won't work most likely. We most likely will have the same empty server again.
The most important thing is, well if we want to have a more popular server, that we play a bit on that server in the beginning until people know the server and play regularly there. If the server fills up usually, it will become popular after some time.
So, if we want to play there a bit more regularly, then the server needs to be fun of course. If all our members don't play TAM, it's pretty useless to set one up and hope that it will become popular. Needless to say that it's not really necessary to have servers where we don't play anyway.
Ou, iJB and iTAM together would be still an option but then it needs to work properly together. I usually see that people leave if the game type changes so that's why I more like to have a single gametype server. Better would be to separate that anyway.
I myself don't play JB really anymore. Well, never played it really, though, it's not bad. I like iTAM better though and as far as I could see, most members got the same.
There's another problem if we want to combine JB with something else. I cannot add the translocator to JB if we have other gametypes where we would play without the translocator. Either we play with trans or without but I cannot set up both unless I use the XxxX trans which we all don't like really. Since we play without trans usually, this is a problem which I cannot solve without a lot of testing and adding a hack for it. That's also the reason why the current 4Gibs server has no trans anymore, also for JB.
Let me know what you think about it and maybe I can prepare something next weekend if that's a good idea |
