Dear eS!
My first year spent in Unreal Tournament 2004 came to it's end nearly a month ago. Half of my time I've spent on your Custom Invasion Server, had a great summer and got known great people there.
Then I met nowdays "bannables". First they seemed to be fun. By the second I came to realise we are doomed. 
Some of my friends even left playing there in the autumn because of BOTTOM_FEEDER's massive insults after he got unbanned again and they were like "oh idiots will go away". Guess what, they stayed. Furthermore even Deathborn joined the teamkilling, harassing, spamming, swearing douchebags.
And unfortunately, Concorde too. So afterall we had 3 jerks running like mad dogs who got banned from several servers for acting heavily offensive and cheating + our server host wouldn't give a poo about it...
My last 6 months became hell on your servers and I simply gone away. Others didn't and suffered the everlasting crap so on. All I have to say my toleration level to these retards is no longer an option, drown out, reached zero. Neither to eS.
How many times you have to ban and then unban a player to realise it's useless?
And what's all this "oooh I don't like banning even if it's needed" thing?
It's not YOU who had to deal with these guys anyway and all we have to be grateful is the support of paying the server which was pretty much OUR community not yours. Now this community will take it's chances and say good bye pretty soon.
Not like it would matter anymore as your servers are down. I think all I'd like to say is, when you're servers will finally get back working, only the idiots will be left to enjoy eachother. Plus you babysitting with false names and by kicking them all (with 6 months delay), then you will have to realise: you are all alone in your servers. I still hope it won't get abandoned and will get along... 
I'm just a little pissed, and not alone with my problem - still.

| Maybe you can join eS, a new function, eSadmin or somthing. we know you well but well we have to run it trough the team...its just a thought of mine...and maybe hold a selution to your fustrations. |

Sorry to be that direct but to be honest, I can care less about your toleration level since we are the ones who really have to suffer and not you... We are a clan providing these servers for free thus our name stands behind it. You may have lost your fun but I think we can loose a bit more than that, besides the money... Furthermore, I haven't seen much support from that community at all other than you and some other people from the beginning. Since about a week, we are aware that the server gets more and more used by jerks, harassing others for their own fun which I'm sorry about but if I would play that much on a server and seeing that there's support behind it (or maybe better said was), I would try to get in touch a bit earlier with the admin.
Other than that, I pretty don't play Invasion that much anymore so I'm not there to baby-sit all the time, sorry.

We have banned Bottom-Feeder and Deathborn one time so far and thought everyone deserves a second chance. Those people went too far and if the Invasion servers comes back, I can assure you that those people will be banned right away permanently as I'm sick of having to deal with such people. If you don't come back or not, that's up to you. We provide the server as long as people enjoy it and so far I've only seen that the server still has quite a lot of people daily, even more than the AS server so I think there still must be enjoyment. If not, I'm not sad to shut it down. It uses a lot of resources, the combination of the mutators are fairly buggy which means it crashes a lot. Don't get me wrong, I like the server but I don't see why I should support a server which does more bad recently.

Again, I can care less about a community which never tried to get in touch with the providers. We gained enough from the server which shows that there are people who tries to get involved and those people are worth the effort and not people who only come to say good bye. Well, I guess you speak for all of them...

The servers are down due to a harddisk problem. I'm currently trying to figure out how to solve it best. The servers might be not back that soon anyway as I cannot see what has gone corrupt and what not.

I understand that you are pissed and sorry to see that but you've never had the idea to come here to say it 6 months earlier as well.
To sum it up. I'm pretty disappointed to see such a post really and I hope you realise too that this isn't really motivating to put more work in the Invasion server for YOUR community for free...

Have to agree with Lomb and Scorp, if you want things to change on the servers, you really have to get in touch with the admins, its no use putting up with it and getting more and more pissed off, and then taking it out on the providers (eS)!!! thats not really fair is it
a lil more communication makes everything go smoothly imo 
Unfortunetly I dont have time to check up on the servers like i used to  apologies for this, but nothing i can do about it, so the servers really do need the users to keep in contact with the admins to sort out problems, its a huge job running them anywayz, without this aswell |

I won't give away admin rights to non eS members since there aren't people who I really trust also because of said things above. More people will demand admin rights, almost everyone, especially the ones you don't want to give it so I see more troubles with such a solution unless those people are really trustworthy which is fairly difficult to prove IMO. I would need to know you long enough and that you care a bit about the stuff going on around here. Being somewhat involved with the clan and not just play some games on our servers only for your own enjoyment... So basically lack of support won't give you admin rights... His community doesn't care about that so I don't see why I should care then. |
