Some months ago I wrote in any thread here, that I'm going to make a map with about 4 different themes. I stopped this project since it was to much work, probably I had to map until UT2k13 or so 
You know one part of that project though, it's now called which is pretty finished.
Here's now another part of it, this time a DM map:
I don't have good ideas for the titles of my maps, so it can be renamed if you like You may know me for putting some nice features into my maps  and this one is not different 
It's my first map in that a water surface reflects the environment, so it should look pretty good. For some open air feeling the roof of the arena can be opened, monitors on the walls show advertising for our clan and some other interesting things, and finally is there a funny way to kill players on the flying sniper platform
I hope this map isn't to small for iTAM, it should work fine in iINV though. Since some of us find it funny to play in DM-box I hope my map is a bit better than that one
In the package is a file "IonTrigger.u" included, which belongs into the UT2004\System folder. I hope it will be downloaded from the redirect server too, else the map won't work.

I wonder if you know a better title for this map. My other ideas were DM-eS][Arena or - inspired by jb and Léó - DM-eS][MadAsABrush, but maybe for this name the map isn't mad enough
Any other ideas? |

Hey very nice map FMC best one yet 
Lol nothing can beat box tho lol
was havving fun fragging some bots NW just now in your new map.
Hmmmmz bout a name...
I like DM-eS][Arena that or DM-eS][Sphere 
hope we will have it on our servers soon, so i can own in yet a nother map!

Although we hadn't the opportunity to test this map, I made a new version with some more fun
If some of you tested the first version yet, here are the changes from beta1 to beta2:
General appearance: I changed the scale factor of terrain layers and redesigned the lightning, it looks a bit more artifical now like it should do when the sun doesn't shine and I added some sound effects from the UT99 zwergpackage (dwarfpackage)  Finally the Ion Cannon release switch looks better now with its integrated monitor.
Game play: If you played the map you may noticed a broken jumppad which kicked you only a little bit to the wall, it was to less action IMO. See for yourself what happens now when you step on this broken jumppad
Then I added a a kind of laser trap to the Ion Cannon control room, so nobody can camp there.
Not to forget some optimizing of the control rooms in the map's center to add more fps (removed one monitor for it).
